The route from Catania to the Lipari Islands via Syracuse and Portopalo will also offer perfect views and spectacular scenery. If you are looking for a slightly longer route though, you cannot go wrong with the trip from Milazzo to Panarea in your rental boat. Sailing conditions in Italy are primarily calm, particularly in the Summer period. For this reason, we suggest renting a motorboat! However, if you are interesting in a sailboat, early Autumn is the time to visit as the winds will pick up and the tourist rush will slow down.
